How to Overlay SharePoint Calendars
SharePoint Calendar overlay feature allows users to merge multiple calendars sourced from different SharePoint lists in order to display all the events in a single view.
Calendar overlay settings are very similar in all versions of the SharePoint platform. Let us see how to overlay SharePoint calendars step-by-step.
How to Overlay Calendars in SharePoint 2010/2013/2016
- You have to select a calendar list. Switch to the tab Calendar in the ribbon and click on the Calendar Overlay button.
- Click New calendar to add a new SharePoint calendar overlay.
- Next, you need to give a name to the new calendar, select a calendar type (SharePoint or Exchange), and designate a color to this calendar. Next, select the SharePoint event list and thew list view to be displayed in this overlay.
You may leave the calendar description and Always show checkbox untouched. Click OK to save the changes.
Now, you can see this calendar in a list of your calendar overlays.
You can create overlays for other calendars. SharePoint calendar overlay limit is 10 calendars per view.
How to Overlay Office 365 Multiple calendars
To view multiple calendars as one calendar in Office 365, you should proceed the same steps as described above. Select the Calendars Overlay button in the ribbon to start the process.
